Organic Waste Biofuel Facility

Project Description

Commissioned by the City of Surrey, Sacré-Davey served as the "Design and Construction Representative" for the state-of-the-art Organic Waste Biofuel Facility in Surrey, BC. This facility, designed for anaerobic digestion and organic waste processing, can handle 80,000 metric tonnes annually. Sacré-Davey, acting as the owner's engineer, conducted design reviews, monitored construction, and assisted in commissioning, ensuring the success of this innovative project for the City of Surrey.

Project Scope

The project involved a Preliminary Design Review and Recommendations, with Design Phase Reviews at 50% and 95% completion. Monitoring of construction works occurred diligently from 2015 to 2016. The scope extended to providing an Overview of Facility Commissioning, conducting a Comprehensive Review of Work Packages, and scrutinizing Facility Management Plans, Long Term Maintenance Plans, and the Quality Management Plan for thorough project oversight.
