Biodiesel Plant Design

Project Description

Sacré-Davey led the development of a 17.5 million gallon/year biodiesel plant, utilizing local cooking oil, grease, and beef tallow. Their role covered process and detailed design, construction management, commissioning, start-up, and warranty. They managed permit submissions, air emissions modeling, and obtained Alberta Boilers Safety Association certification. The expedited ABSA certification, supported by clear design reporting, mitigated a crucial schedule risk. In Lethbridge, Alberta, their cold weather start-up plan enabled ahead-of-schedule commissioning and testing.
