Zinc Load & Unload Project

Project Description

Sacré-Davey, in the third person, delivered comprehensive detailed engineering services for a truck and rail loading facility designed to handle the reception, stockpiling, and shipment of zinc concentrate at Kinder Morgan's terminal in North Vancouver. Additionally, Sacré-Davey successfully designed two dust collection and control systems, which were subsequently installed in separate storage sheds.

Project Scope

Sacré-Davey undertook a brownfield design and construction project to reduce dust within the building, especially around zinc conveyor areas. The scope included structural analysis of the existing building, foundation calculations, and innovative dust collection measures, including an external baghouse. Truck routing and dust collection were designed within specifications, and the project was successfully completed within the allocated budget and schedule.
