Univar MEG Expansion

Project Description

For this rail unloading, storage and ship loading project, Sacré-Davey designed and commissioned an expansion for top unloading for glycol (MEG) from railcars which is then pumped to storage. The glycol is pumped via the ship loading pump, through dedicated piping, and through a marine loading arm on the vessel. Our team had to ensure that the two offloading pumps, in parallel, operate seamlessly together to unload the rail cars, and make sure that the correct pump sizing and control systems were in place. The project was quickly commissioned and operated seamlessly.
