Electrolyzer Owner’s Engineer

Project Description

Sacré-Davey managed the installation of an 88-megawatt electrolyzer plant for green hydrogen and oxygen production, supplying Énerkem's biofuel facility. Their role included Owners Engineering Services, integrating plant design, yielding 11,100 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. Commissioning occurred in late 2023.

Project Scope

Collaborating with Hydro Québec since April 2020, Sacré-Davey served as Hydrogen Subject Matter Experts. Their contributions covered electrolysis technology selection, submissions analysis, RFI management, design review, bid analysis, and process integration recommendations. Additional support included RAM studies, HAZID/HAZOP expertise, and compliance with codes and regulations. Sub-studies addressed custody transfer, zone classifications, water consumption, and safety.
