Design Review of Natural Gas Pipeline

Project Description

Engaging in a third-person perspective, Sacré-Davey offered design review, stress analysis, and design input for a 1000 PSIG, 20” diameter pipeline serving the newly established Kwoen Gas Plant in Northern BC.

Project Scope

Sacré-Davey's involvement extended to significant contributions during the design phase. They implemented a file transfer protocol, streamlining the process by directly importing Westcoast's 3-D pipe model into Caesar for analysis. This innovative approach not only saved considerable costs but also facilitated timely analysis of various proposed pipe routing variations, resulting in substantial cost savings at road crossings and equipment tie-in locations.
