Project Description
Sacré-Davey, drawing from their solid metal catalyst expertise in renewable fuels, designed a versatile pretreatment process for a broader feedstock range (40% FFA max) to complement Benefuel’s high-temperature, high-pressure catalytic technology. Variations of standard pretreatment methods were explored, leading to the incorporation of a continuous vacuum drying system for moisture control and a guard column for enhanced purification in the final process.
Project Scope
In executing the project, Sacré-Davey's role extended to adapting their solid metal catalyst experience into an efficient pretreatment design. The team evaluated different pretreatment methods, including variations of degumming and bleaching, optimizing the process for diverse feedstocks. Their innovative approach included integrating a continuous vacuum drying system for moisture management and introducing a guard column for additional purification, showcasing their commitment to meeting rigorous feedstock specifications.
