Canola/Glycol Transfer & Storage

Project Description

New integrated railcar unloading, piping, storage system and marine loading for transfer of product from railcar to cargo vessel, as well as modification to rail car area for top unloading of glycol. This project was completed at an existing facility with construction and commissioning completed during normal day-to-day operations. The project was completed on budget, met all regulatory requirements, and fulfilled all production specifications.

 
 

Scope of Work

Sacré-Davey’s scope included an initial feasibility study and AACE Class 2 capital cost estimate. Detail design included process design, site layout, piping layout and design, civil and structural design of all foundations and pipe racks (including several pipe bridges), equipment specification, electrical and controls design. Pumps and process piping were energy- optimized in conjunction with a BC Hydro Power Smart study. Construction scope included project scheduling, procurement, construction management, and commissioning.
