Sacré-Davey Engineering provided services for Kinder Morgan Port Facility project that consisted of two phases.
Phase 1 – Feasibility study for the installation of a network of conveyors and transfer chutes to transport copper concentrate from their existing rail car unloading system to a storage shed.
- In Phase 1, SDE produced a number of concept designs. Option evaluation and value engineering as preformed between the SDE engineering team and the SDE estimating group to provide the client with the appropriate information to select a concept and budget on which to proceed.
Phase 2- Comprehensive detailed design construction package for the concept produced in Phase 1.
- In Phase 2, SDE completed the design of the conveyors, transfer chutes and transfer towers. In addition, SDE developed the purchasing specifications where applicable performance specifications for the equipment purchased by Kinder Morgan.
SDE also designed the modifications to existing structures and foundations as well as the new transfer towers supporting the conveyors.
