Sacré-Davey Engineering Offers Net Net Zero Cost Energy Efficiency Studies

As a FortisBC approved energy consultant, Sacré-Davey Engineering can conduct FortisBC-funded energy efficiency feasibility studies by utilizing their limited time energy efficiency incentives

North Vancouver, BC – Utilizing FortisBC’s limited time energy efficiency incentives, Sacré-Davey is offering energy efficiency studies at net zero cost to the client. Upon qualification for the program, FortisBC will pay 100% (up to $50,000 for commercial projects) of the cost associated with studies completed before March 31, 2021. Sacré-Davey Engineering is a FortisBC approved energy consultant and has conducted numerous energy efficiency feasibility studies under the FortisBC’s program.

Energy studies are a fundamental part of identifying energy-saving opportunities. They include a detailed engineering analysis of the facility to find energy reduction strategies, resulting in lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and operational costs. As an approved energy consultant with multi-disciplinary engineering capabilities, Sacré-Davey Engineering is fully equipped to help you through the application process, conduct the study, and move forward with the design and implementation of the energy-saving opportunities.

Acknowledging the economic impact that COVID-19 has had on many businesses, FortisBC has decided to enhance its incentives for energy studies. This was to meet their client’s energy and environmental goals, and lower operating costs by reducing wasted energy. “FortisBC has effectively taken all of the downsides away from reducing your carbon footprint,” says Chris Sacré, CEO of Sacré-Davey. He goes on to say, “Not only can your efficiency study be paid for, but FortisBC is offering a second incentive to pay for a massive portion of the implementation project. The initiative can be extremely subsidized, and the yearly operational cost savings can be exceptional.”

After Sacré-Davey has completed the energy study, it is reviewed by FortisBC and the approved energy conservation measures could be eligible for additional implementation incentives of up to $1 million for industrial customers, and up to $500,000 for commercial projects. For those with efficiency projects in progress, FortisBC has offered a 50% “top up” on commercial and industrial electric projects, as well as commercial natural gas energy efficiency projects that are completed before March 31st, 2021.
